Georgetown University, Latin America Leadership Program
Pursuing the university’s mission of teaching and service for the common good, Georgetown University's Latin America Leadership Program (LALP) develops regionally-focused experiential executive education programs that aim to educate, connect, and inspire regional leaders to create impact networks with a positive multiplier effect across Latin America and the Caribbean.
LALP currently houses three annual flagship programs— the Global Competitiveness Leadership (GCL) for young emergent social impact leaders across all sectors, the Innovation and Leadership in Government (ILG) for mid-level public managers and other individuals leading public initiatives in the region, and the Global Business Executive Leadership (GBEL) for business executives whose work impacts the Latin American and Caribbean region.
These three annual offerings for leaders from the private, public, and social sectors, together with its custom programs designed for organizations across the region, its series of public dialogues, its publications, and its growing alumni networks, help foster deeper links between Georgetown University and Latin America while promoting responsible and transformative leadership and developing impact networks that create a positive multiplier effect across the region.
LALP engages faculty, researchers, program teams, and students across the university for its programs and initiatives. Some of LALP university partners include the Office of Executive Education at the McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University Latin American Board, the Office of the VicePresident for Global Engagement, Georgetown Americas Institute, the Center for Latin American Studies, and the Center for the Rule of Law in the Americas.
